There is so much to say that im just going to skim the main partsOur wedding day, although still good was made very difficult and by Royal Pines Resort on Ross Street in Ashmore, where we had the wedding. The wedding coordinatore was so relaxed about everything Everytime I voiced a cencern she belittled and her response to everything was, dont worry about it, it will all be fine It wasntHere is a brief list1. I brough the wedding cake in the night before my husband does not eat fruit cake so I brought in a mud cake. At the reception I was told that they had lost the cake The provided another for us which ended up having coffee in it. My huband does not drink coffee either so he could not have any of his own wedding cake.2. We paid per head for a food package which started half and hour late and not all dishes were provided.3. The chapel was to be unlocked for us by the co ordinator, on rehersal night. We got there and it was locked so we had to walk through the grounds to the reception and call security to open the chapel.4. The wedding co oridnator offer me a choice of colours for the pew bows, I wanted blue. On the day as I was walked down the aise I noticed they were off white. I was later told that that was the only colour. The flowers in the chapel were to be roses but were lilys.5. The wedding co ordinator was to check our bags into our suite during the day and later bring us our room keys to the reception. When the reception was over late into the night, we still had no keys and waited around until they arrived after all had left.6. The co ordinator met my husband previously but on the wedding day walked up to him and introduced herself. She was to be with us the whole day. We saw her for 15 mintues and the chapel and then never again7. We were intruduced into the reception and walked in to find no bridal table which was paid for, we had to make a scene before they agreed to get oneTa

If you go shopping later at night, you would have seen the hard working nightfillers in every supermarket packing the shelves, have you ever wondered what their story is, or are you one of the people who just ignore, stare or snob them as you walk past wondering why they cant go and get a real jobI have a background in Hotel Management, but im also the mother of two preschool aged children. For me to return to work during the day in a real job, I would have to pay over 500 per week in childcare fees, not to mention miss out on valuable time lost with my children during their early years. Most people who pack shelves have a professional background and are either doing it for the same reasons as myself, or have it as a second job to cover additional household expenses, mortgage, etc.Next time youre shopping and see these people working, smile and be polite...they are only human, If they werent filling the shelves, what would you be eating for dinner tonight

"Mrs Bailey Best teacher in the world" by MissWorld (4.83 stars)

My name is Stevie Adams. I am 16 years old and I attend Pacific Pines High School. Throughout my time at Pacific Pines High, I can honestly say I have met the most brilliant, most fantastic teacher ever. Mrs Katie Bailey.Mrs Bailey is the head of the English Department at our school and there are more than a thousand words to describe how amazing she really is. However, to really prove she is the best teacher on the Gold Coast Ill start by telling the story of how she has helped and supported me personally. When she entered the class at the start of the year, she would have entered a bunch of unenthusiastic and chatty bunch of students who really didnt care about English. One of the first things she wanted to know about the class is what we all wanted to do with our lives. This did shock me and the class, as not many teachers are overly excited about what we really want to do with our lives. However, for myself personally, I said I wanted to do Journalism. Within the next few months she had me writing for The Gold Coast Bulletin and had organised for me to study a Bachelor of Journalism at Bond University on some afternoons. This meant if I passed, I would gain direct entry into Bond University. Within those few months she had the majority of students actually looking forward to English, myself included, she picked up our grades, and made English classes the most enjoyable they have ever been.In just saying that, Mrs Bailey is the best teacher in the whole wide world not just the Gold Coast because she really cared about me and other students. Mrs Bailey spends her time not only just teaching us English, but trying so hard to help us reach our dreams. I honestly believe with all my heart that if Mrs Bailey was not paid for being the best teacher in the whole wide world, she would still be doing it every single day, trying one step harder to help us reach our goals and dreams.Mrs Bailey spends many days, nights, and weekends marking and drafting our work. I know this because it has been on many occasions I would send her a draft at 12am getting in back at 5 or 6am on a Sunday morning. Before Mrs Bailey came along, I believed that teachers taught to get paid. But she has showed me in so many ways that she really cares. Mrs Bailey always has time for us, not only just for English but if we ever need to talk.I recently won an Outstanding Achievement award for my writing in The Bulletin. I raced home to email her my results at 11pm. Once again there was an email in my inbox from her telling me how special I was, and that Im on the right track and I could do anything I want to. It was only last night that Pacific Pines High held their annual awards night. I was a nominee for school captain. After receiving the title, she was one of the first to run to me jumping up and down screaming along with me.I believe Mrs Bailey deserves the title of the best teacher because she cares she is so enthusiastic and supportive but also because she puts 110 in everyday. She helps teenagers achieve their dreams and I believe anyone as special as that deserves The Best teacher in the universe. The reason I would like Mrs Bailey to win is because she has rewarded my life in so many ways, and I couldnt think of a better way to reward her. I cannot convince anyone more than that. She really is amazing and anyone who had the honour of meeting her is one of the luckiest people in the world. She has touched and changed my life for the better in so many ways. Anyone that can have that much of an impact on someones life really does deserve recognition.

Is it really just ME or does everyone else notice how LAZY the road workers seem to be here. When you drive past a section of road here is the scenarioOne guy is digging and ten are surpervising him, Just incase he misses a piece of dirt, or falls down and needs help getting up.They have a whole LANE blocked off so they can park their UTE in it, I mean, its way too SPECIAL to park it on the side of the road, and that would be such a long way to walk to get a spade. Or lunch. There are another 5 guys standing chatting about the weather, well, it could rain of course and then they would have to call the days work off so they had better keep watch.Down the 1k stretch of road that noone seems to be working on and is so nicely layed out with cones so you aviod the ute parked in the middle of the road, Are 5 guys holding signs that say Slow. As we drive past I feel like winding the window down and saying are you. I mean for gods sake, you really think in between the first and the 5th guy I might have mistakenly seen a sign that said FASTWhen you drive past ten minutes later they are all on smoko, and then ten minutes later they are all on smoko, and then ten minute later they are all on lunch. Funnily enough when you drive passed two hours later they are still on lunch, or maybe another smoko, I wonder if its the same smoko as they seem to be having in ANOTHER hours timeAt first we thought it was funny, Now it just irritates us to the max because we know their pay is coming out of OUR pockets and there doesnt seem to be anyone who monitors these guys, apart from their site boss, who happens to be the one watching incase it rains.

Ive heard the rumours and was warned well in adavance, but if you own a beamer dont go to Bruce Lynton to have it serviced unless you want to be ripped off. They wouldnt give me an approx price over the phone even though it was a standard 50,000 kms service. when i turned up they gave the quote on the spot...i should have driven away...by the way the price was 700....can you believe it.Ive been told of a place where these guys used to work for BMW servicing who now have a service centre on the gold coast...ill go there.Really disappointed...oh by the way i also needed a fan belt and they want to charge me about 150 to fit it in the same service...theyve lost me and ive reported them to BMW australia
